We are happy to announce that VisionConnector 4.18 has been released.
Some of the new features are:
- NAV 5.0 SP1 is now supported
- An option for exporting BLOB's through temporary files has been added. The stream functionality makes the Application Server unstable in older versions
- The application server stops when illegal filters are applied. To prevent this a new method that validates filters has been added.
- The VC Log can now log errors also. In VC Setup it can now be specified that the log level should log Errors Only. This can be used to see the errors from the Application Server inside NAV instead of in the event viewer.
- It is now possible to download the Schema Definition.
- Illegal XML Characters are now supported in Captions, e.g. the &-sign
- A new system for upgrading has been added to the NAV part. A chapter describing how to upgrade has been added to the documentation.
The license component has been replaced, and now all components can run on 64 bit machines.
- Online help has been developed for the NAV objects.

A prerelease is available on the ftp server. When downloading this, please re-download the file VisionConnector4.18.zip that is currently on the ftp-server.
When using the VisionConnector for the VisionCRM Connector:
We recommend that all installations upgrade to this version, however if you are using the VisionConnector for VisionCRM Connector, then until the next version of the VisionCRMConnector is released you MUST remove the checkmark in Add Ext. Key/Position in VC Schema Objects. If you forget this DUPLICATE entries will get created.
